Alexander Poltorak is Chairman and CEO of General Patent Corporation. Prior to founding the company in 1987, Dr. Poltorak was CEO of Rapitech Systems, Inc., a computer technology company he established in 1983 and took public in 1986. Prior to his business career, Dr. Poltorak was Assistant Professor of Biomathematics at the Neurology Department of Cornell University Medical College and Assistant Professor of Physics at Touro College. He is a guest-lecturer on intellectual property law and economics at the Columbia University School of Business. Alex Poltorak is a Certified Licensing Professional, and he was included in the 2010 IAM Strategy 250, a list of leading IP strategists compiled by Intellectual Asset Management (IAM) magazine.
Anthony Amaral is a patent attorney and Chief IP Counsel for General Patent Corporation. Prior to joining GPC, Mr. Amaral spent more than 25 years in private practice at both intellectual property boutiques and large general practice law firms where he was engaged in all aspects of intellectual property law. His areas of IP legal expertise include procurement, litigation, licensing and counseling. Anthony Amaral has been involved in dozens of patent infringement cases covering multiple technologies.
Alec Schibanoff is General Patent’s Vice President of Marketing and is responsible for marketing for all the business units in the GPC Group of Companies. Mr. Schibanoff’s career included management positions at LawMax Legal Finance, Kaplan Test Prep (a unit of The Washington Post Company), and Brother International Corporation.
Kathlene Ingham is GPC’s Director of Licensing and she is the person most tech transfer managers initially communicate with when they contact General Patent about a patent infringement issue. Ms. Ingham has successfully negotiated over 100 patent licenses for General Patent clients. Before joining GPC, she held management and consulting positions in the legal profession and hotel industry.
